It really does in fact take a village to raise a family. That classic proverb is exactly what inspired the creation of Caalma Co, a new coworking space coming soon to Cincinnati.
“In the midst of an increasingly isolationist society, where many spend more time working with technology than with other people, and others find themselves in places far from home, I wanted to create a ‘village for the modern family’ where everybody is somebody,” executive director Rebecca Cadena explains on the company’s website.

We asked the team at Caalma Co. to tell us more about what this new coworking space in Cincinnati will be bringing to the community … and it’s a lot of great stuff! Here’s what Madeline shared:
What is Caalma?
Caalma is a village for the modern family. Caalma is a multi-level and multi-service coworking space with optional on-site childcare. Coming soon to Walnut Hills, Caalma increases productivity, providing convenience and strengthening your community. Caalma’s mission is to reduce stress by housing many of life’s needs into one space.

Caalma allows parents to be onsite with their children, without the distraction. But, Caalma isn’t just for parents. Caalma is for artists, businesses, entrepreneurs, dreamers, thinkers and just about anyone who needs a place to be productive. Who is watching my child?
Caalma’s operational and childcare director Madeline Palmer is a highly experienced childcare provider with over 15 years of experience, CPR Certification, and a thorough background check. Madeline has been a local and international nanny, childcare provider, and has worked with families in both foster care and adolescent behavioral & mental health. Madeline’s experience and passion for children & families will help create a nurturing, artistic, inspiring and safe environment for your child.
Where is this coworking space located?
We are located in the ever growing neighborhood of Walnut Hills. Caalma, which is currently under renovation and construction, shares a space with Church of the Advent at 2366 Kemper Lane. Caalma Childcare is located on the first floor, and our coworking spaces are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors.
