We haven’t even made it to Halloween yet and many paint companies have already declared their top paint colors for 2022. Holy Guacamole, we have a lot of greens in the bunch.
Gliddon starts off the green parade with its color Guacamole. Absent the chunks of tomatoes and onions, the color is pretty spot on to the yummy stuff we like to dip our favorite chips into.
From guacamole to our favorite martini accoutrement, PPG has announced Olive Sprig as their color of 2022. Can you imagine yourself enjoying a dirty martini inside a giant olive sprig?
From the olive orchards to the beach, Behr introduces Breezeway. Behr describes the color as “a relaxed and uplifting sea grass green expressing peace and tranquility for forward movement.” For all of us who live hundreds of miles away from the ocean, this might be the perfect color for our escape room.
Sherwin-Williams prefers the vistas of the Northwest with their color of the year Evergreen Fog. Imagine donning your best lumberjack attire and sipping a hot cup of coffee from your favorite mug as you take a morning hike deep into an Oregon forest(foggy morning of course).
Valspar doesn’t limit itself to one top paint color for 2022. Instead, they have a rainbow of earth tones as their picks for 2022. And yes, there is an earthy green color called Blanched Thyme among the list.
Finally, HGTV Home/Sherwin-Williams decided to go with a grey/blue called Aleution as its color of the year.
However, green lovers don’t despair. They do offer a color for your likes called Retreat in the Color Collection of top paint colors for 2022.
Colors of the year are a good prediction as to what you will see in all the trendy magazines, HGTV shows and HOMEARAMAS®. If you are a trendsetter and like to paint your walls every year, this might also be helpful for you.
