This summer is jam-packed with fun at Summit Park in Blue Ash! Beyond the park walking trails, playground, dog park, fishing pond, observation tower, restaurants, and natural scenery, there are many free activities sure to please each member of your family. From heart-pumping Zumba to casual strolls at the Farmer’s Market, there is no shortage of good times for anyone looking in this suburb of Cincinnati. Summit Park events happen year-round, but below are some hand-picked favorites to try in these upcoming summer months.

Every week, there are FREE fitness classes for yoga, Zumba, and line-dancing, but if you are looking for something more laid-back, try checking out the local produce at the Farmer’s Market every Wednesday afternoon! There is also an enticing new featured event called The OFF Market, which first occurred in May of this year and repeats monthly on the second Saturday until mid-September. It is a monthly marketplace that brings together small businesses, artisans, brewers, bakers, farmers, and the like, giving you a chance to support the local community and economy.
One of the Summit Park events you won’t want to miss is Red, White, & Blue Ash is returning this July 4th with multi-platinum artist Gavin DeGraw opened by Cincinnati’s own Blessid Union of Souls. Fretboard Brewing is sponsoring the event and lighting up the night sky with a stellar fireworks show at 10 PM. Live music and a fantastic firework show aren’t all this event has to offer– family-fun festival rides, local food vendors, tasty adult beverages, and more are on site all evening. Capture the peak of summer at this vibrant event!

Capping off the summer months in mid-August when most kids are back in school are the blasts from the past– the classics, but from vastly different time periods. A classic car show and Shakespeare in the Park both take us back to timeless values of appreciating art for art’s sake. Whether it’s scoping out a turquoise 1961 Buick LeSabre or watching the famous balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet, the people of the Cincinnati area respect timeless masterpieces.
It’s rare to find a single place that offers so much culture that appeals to such a wide variety of tastes. This is what makes attending Summit Park events in Blue Ash so special– the people are one of a kind, ready to try new experiences, and all for the sake of supporting their community and a better way of living. For the past couple of years, we have been yearning for that sense of belonging and seek it in our daily lives. Thankfully, Summit Park has plenty of opportunities to satisfy that basic neighborly need and more.
