Blondie Brews is more than just a coffee brand—it’s a celebration of great coffee, creativity, and community. What started as a passion project has grown into a boutique coffee company that’s all about bringing people together over a perfect cup. Known for their knack for crafting unforgettable flavors (such as the Fluffer Nutter Latte or the Cinnamon Churro Mocha), Blondie Brews strikes the perfect balance between artistry and approachability. Whether you’re savoring a signature blend or trying one of their seasonal specialties, every sip reflects their commitment to quality, fun, and connection.
I was thrilled to connect with the dynamic duo behind Blondie Brews—Sara Janusik and her mother, Megin Murray. Together, they’ve poured their hearts into building a brand that’s as warm and welcoming as the coffee they create. Let’s dive into their journey, their inspiration, and how they’re brewing more than just coffee—they’re brewing joy, one cup at a time.
What inspired you to start running a mobile coffee truck?
We’ve always thought we wanted to do some form of mobile vending. We definitely took a big jump doing this, but we thought it was the best time for both of us. We both work really hard to make it work and have definitely started to see it pay off!
What are the top requested drinks right now?
Our salted caramel butter bar latte and caramel creme brûlée chai are the best sellers right now, but we always recommend trying our peppermint crunch mocha and snowman hot cocoa!
What is your most popular or busy location you have been to so far?
Our pop-up location on Wasson Way Trail in Hyde park is our most busy and popular by far. We love the crowd we get there but we also really love trying out new places to set up and getting to see a lot of new faces!
What sets Blondie Brews apart from other mobile coffee trucks?
We would say our trailer is special because we’re a true, family run small business. We have no extra employees as of right now and are mainly a two person crew! We strive to provide the most genuine relationships with every customer and think of our trailer as more of an experience than just getting fun coffee with super cool toppings.
What is the biggest challenge on being a mobile coffee truck so far?
We’ve encountered a few bumps along the way but our biggest challenge so far has been having enough of our supplies in such a small trailer. Since our trailer is only 13’ x 7’, we really only have enough to serve for about 4 hours at a busy event.
