For Brittany Keeny, doing hair has always been about more than what happens in the salon chair. It’s an opportunity to help someone feel confident, build meaningful relationships and bring a little more joy into their day.
That philosophy is at the heart of Bela Moça, Brittany’s warm and welcoming salon located at 1597 Calvary Drive, Suite #1, in Union, Kentucky. Originally opened in Springfield, Missouri, in 2020, Bela Moça found a new home in Northern Kentucky when Brittany relocated the business and reopened its doors in August 2023.
Today, the studio is a place where Brittany’s passions for beauty, faith and community come together.
Meet the Woman Behind Bela Moça
Brittany has been doing hair since 2017, bringing nearly a decade of experience to every client who sits in her chair. She is also a wife and mom of two and has been married to her husband, Joshua Keeny, Senior Pastor of Florence Baptist Temple, for more than 13 years.
When she isn’t behind the chair, Brittany stays busy as a full-time pastor’s wife. She leads the women’s ministry, assists with both the children’s and music ministries at church and finds ways to serve throughout the community. When the opportunity arises, Brittany and her family also enjoy serving on short-term international mission trips.
Her connection to other cultures began early. Brittany grew up in Brazil, South America, and Cape Verde, West Africa, as the daughter of a missionary. Those experiences continue to influence her life today. She speaks Portuguese and enjoys bringing a taste of Brazil home by cooking Brazilian dishes for her family.
Her international roots even inspired the name of her business. In Portuguese, Bela Moça means “beautiful woman,” a fitting name for a salon centered on helping women embrace their own natural beauty.
More Than a Trip to the Salon
Anyone who knows Brittany knows how much she loves what she does. But even more important to her are the people who sit in her chair.
The relationships she has built with clients have made Bela Moça more than simply a place for hair appointments. Brittany cherishes the conversations, connections and opportunities to get to know the people who walk through her doors.
Her goal is simple: to leave people better than she found them.
Whether that means giving someone a fresh look, helping them feel more confident or simply offering a welcoming place to spend part of their day, Brittany strives to share joy and kindness through her work.
Her approach also extends beyond how a client’s hair looks when they leave the salon. Brittany wants her clients to love their hair day after day, which means prioritizing its health and creating styles that work beyond the salon chair.

Brittany specializes in gray blending, lived-in color and cutting, with an emphasis on creating timeless, natural looks. Rather than focusing solely on trends, she works to enhance each client’s natural beauty while keeping their hair healthy, polished and manageable.
Her blended techniques allow color to grow out more naturally, while personalized cuts help create a finished look that complements each client’s hair, lifestyle and preferences. Healthy hair remains a priority throughout every service, with the goal of helping clients feel just as confident in their hair between appointments as they do when they leave the salon.
