Lake Lorelei is a private, gated community located in Brown County, Ohio near Fayetteville, Ohio. This lake community has 1,118 acres with 197 acres consisting of lake waters: Lake Lorelei, Lake Grunwald and Lake Fitchelberg.
Lake Lorelei has 10 common-access areas for its members along with cabanas found on the 750 square feet of two sandy beaches. East Beach is located next to the clubhouse and has a playground, basketball and a small putt-putt course. Near the entrance of the lake, there is a frisbee golf course. A large pavilion is used for parties and gatherings. The 5,000 square foot clubhouse called “Kurhause” is a delightful German-style building used for parties and club meetings.
My husband and I have lived at Lake Lorelei for almost 5 years full time and have enjoyed every minute of it. There is something very satisfying about living near water. The lake’s calming sounds and rippling waves make it easy to unwind and relax. The sunrises and sunsets here are glorious. The lake is full of nature and we have watched geese, ducks and herons swimming in the water. It is a very peaceful and tranquil setting – simply heavenly.
My husband and I enjoy boating, fishing and kayaking on the lake. We also like taking our grandchildren to the beach. In the fall, when the trees are turning, the lake is simply magical as it reflects the leaves’ colors. During this time, you can find us taking walks around the lake.
If you like to be social, there are many clubs and committees to participate and enjoy at Lake Lorelei: fish, lakes, women’s and exercise clubs – to name a few.
The best part of living on a lake is having family and friends over for visits. They get a little vacation here and we love spending time with them. It is a lifestyle we highly recommend!
