It’s chili season in Cincinnati! There’s nothing better than warming up with a delicious bowl of Cincinnati-style chili. Being a lifelong resident and Realtor® here, I have my fair share of favorites, and I’m excited to share some local gems that serve the best chili in town.
Price Hill Chili
First on my list is Price Hill Chili located at 4920 Glenway Ave. This spot is more than just a restaurant; it’s a cherished part of the community. Family-owned and operated, Price Hill Chili is a must-visit for those of us who grew up on the West Side. Their chili has a richness that embodies the warmth of family traditions. It’s no wonder this place has become a Cincinnati legend, drawing in folks from beyond the west side. Whether you’re a lifetime resident or a visitor, their meat sauce on a cheese coney is a comforting reminder of what makes our city’s cuisine so special.
Pleasant Ridge Chili
Next, we venture over to Pleasant Ridge Chili at 6032 Montgomery Rd. This establishment is a fantastic blend of small-town charm and the bustling energy of Pleasant Ridge. I always appreciate their high-quality food at prices that won’t break the bank. They serve some of the most robust and flavorful chili in town, and everything on the menu has generous portions—definitely a crowd pleaser! Plus, their breakfast is served all day, which is perfect for those lazy weekend mornings when you just can’t decide between chili or eggs.

Camp Washington Chili
Another iconic spot is Camp Washington Chili at 3005 Colerain Ave. Situated in a neighborhood steeped in history, this chili parlor has roots dating back to the Mexican-American War. What strikes me is their commitment to quality—over 1,000 cheese coneys are served here daily! The vibrant atmosphere and historic significance make it a great place to dive into our city’s chili culture. Each bite evokes the spirit of Cincinnati’s past, and it’s hard not to feel proud of our city’s rich heritage while enjoying a bowl full of local flavor.
Blue Ash Chili
No chili tour would be complete without a stop at Blue Ash Chili, found at 9525 Kenwood Rd. This diner-style eatery has been a local favorite since 1969. I love the nostalgic vibe it offers, and their family recipe ensures that the chili is consistently delicious—served Cincy-style with options for three-way, four-way, or even five-way chili! They cater to everyone’s cravings with a variety of menu items, making it a perfect spot for family outings.

Skyline Chili
Finally, we must acknowledge the classic Skyline Chili. Known nationally for their cheese coneys, Skyline’s unique chili is a taste that every Cincinnatian knows and loves. The original secret family recipe has been passed down through generations, creating an undeniably addictive experience. Whether you’re enjoying a late-night snack or a quick lunch, Skyline always hits the spot with that satisfying comfort food familiar to so many.
As the air grows chillier, be sure to bring your appetite and explore these local chili hotspots. Each of these places offers a unique take on our beloved dish, reflecting the heart of Cincinnati’s culinary scene. So grab a friend, bundle up, and treat yourself to a warm bowl of chili—you won’t regret it! Happy eating!
