L’Amour is one of the best nail salons I’ve ever experienced. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that’s perfect for relaxing. The staff is amazing – they’re all highly trained and use the best products and techniques to make sure you receive the best results possible.
And let’s not forget about the owner, Nhulan. She’s such a kind and warm person, who goes above and beyond to make sure her customers are happy. She takes the time to get to know each person she serves. She understands your individual needs, and is always happy to offer advice and guidance on the best treatments.
On a recent visit, I decided to learn more about Nhulan and how she got started with her local business. Here’s what I found out:
Question: Can you tell us a bit about how long you’ve been in business?
Answer: I have been in business for 27 years now, and it has been an amazing journey so far.
Question: That’s incredible! Will you share with us a bit about your background and what inspired you to start your business?
Answer: I was born in Vietnam and came to the United States when I was 10 years old with my family. I lived in California until I was 17 years old and then moved to Ohio. I started working with my brother in a salon in 1999. As an immigrant and first-generation American, I wanted to help my family start a good business. So, I worked at my brother’s salon as a manager/nail technician while putting myself through college. I also worked for one of the biggest companies in the beauty industry, Gelish, as their educator for four years. I love my job as a teacher and educator, and I also love being a nail technician and artist.
Question: That’s an impressive background. What do you enjoy most about your work?
Answer: I love my job as a nail technician and artist because I get to create a beautiful set of nails for my clients. I want them to receive compliments everywhere they go – and when they do, I feel like I’ve done my job.
Question: What type of experience do you want your customers to have at L’Amour Day Spa and Nails?
Answer: I love making women beautiful, and I want them to have confidence in themselves when they have beautiful hands. At L’Amour Day Spa and Nails, we strive to create a relaxing and welcoming environment for our clients. We want them to feel pampered and leave feeling like a whole new person with beautiful and durable nails.
