Girls night out Cincinnati

Top Spots for Girls’ Night Out in Greater Cincinnati

As a mom with a busy young daughter, life can get crazy and sometimes I feel the need to take a break from adulting. The perfect solution for me is a girls’ night out with my friends!

Recently, I was able to get out with my girlfriends to two great places, one in the city and the other in the suburbs. Both were a great time and a much-needed stress break from my daily grind as a working parent. Read on for more info on both!

S.W. Clyborne in Mason, Ohio

My local go-to is S.W. Clyborne Provision & Spirits – a gem hidden away in what looks like your average-everyday plaza in between a hair salon and car wash in Mason, Ohio. You would never guess this establishment is so amazing on the inside.

The interior décor takes me back to my time of living in Savannah, Georgia. It’s very charming and trendy with a rustic vibe. Clyborne’s is craft-cocktail focused and concentrates on made-from-scratch recipes. Chef Coby has created a menu that changes with the seasons.

One thing I really love about Clyborne is that the employees are extremely friendly and on top of their game, something that tends to be important to me when dining out. Hang out at the bar or secure a table in the restaurant – it’s a great place for a relaxing girls’ night out (or dates, family gatherings, etc). If you haven’t been there, you need to go!

Girls’ Night Out at Ghost Baby

My newest favorite downtown Cincinnati spot for girls’ night out is one like no other and it’s something I’ve only ever experienced in much larger cities, but is right here in Over-the-Rhine. It’s called Ghost Baby. Don’t be fooled by the “entrance” located between two lit purple bulbs, because you will soon disappear five stories underground. I promise the endless number of stairs you will walk is worth it. When you cross through velvet curtains you will most certainly feel like a celebrity.

The entertainment at Ghost Baby is live jazz – one of my all-time favorite things for a girls’ night out – and each night has a unique performance by an amazing entertainer. You must try the espresso martini because it is truly the best one I have ever had (and I’ve had a couple in my time.) If that beverage is not your thing, there are plenty of other hand-crafted cocktails. I’m sure you can find something to satisfy your taste buds. This speakeasy setting is not one that everyone knows about yet, but more are catching on, so it can be crowded. Reserve early to get a spot!
